Color Light Texture & Sound
Comfort Defined!
Understanding how and why the human body receives interior
environmental stimuli and translates that information into a comfortable place to live, work, shop and unwind.
COMFORT: everyone wants it but few are able to define it, until now! Combining easy-to-understand scientific research with real world practicality, Deborah will enlighten audiences and provide them with a working knowledge of how and WHY certain design elements combine to play an important role in a person’s innate need for surrounding himself with aesthetically pleasing comfort…in other words, defining what makes an interior space truly comfortable! Filled with numerous eye- opening demonstrations based on the latest research and gender specific study, Deborah will demystify the scientific properties of color, texture, and sound, and explain the interconnection to the electromagnetic visual spectrum of light in a way that will open your eyes to the endless potential contained within the possibilities of your own understanding. With hands-on demonstrations and numerous audience participation exercises audiences in this fast- paced, daylong session will learn :
Ø How to understand the interconnection of color, light, texture and sound in order to create an interior environment that is not only comfortable but beneficially conducive for your overall health and wellbeing
Ø Explore the latest research-driven findings relating to the human need for comfort and discover how simple design changes and lighting techniques can make a huge difference in the way we feel and experience any room and come away with a new found sense of peace and enjoyment
Ø Learn how the brain & body receives, perceives, and processes the invisible energies of key design elements so that you can translate that knowledge into a design project that exceeds all expectations
Ø Discover the differences between the way men and women process interior environmental stimuli and how to tailor our design and decorating selections to satisfy the needs of both
Ø Unravel the complexities of how and why the body ages and why these changes dramatically impact the way the interior environment is perceived and deemed to be comfortable
Ø Review the latest reports and research projects delving into the study of how the environmental surfaces, finishes and lighting affects our overall wellbeing and comfort
Ø Hands- on demonstrations of room scenarios as to the best color schemes, lighting techniques and furnishing positions to enhance any room
